On 22 and 23 August 2019 the International Conference on Informatics, Technology and Engineering (InCITE) took place at Anvaya Beach Resort, Bali. This conference takes place every two years and currently is the second InCITE. The seminar was organized by the Faculty of Engineering and was attended by presenters and guests from various countries. This conference was supported by The University of Adelaide and Thammasat University. Selected articles have the opportunity to be published in the IOP Conference Series. The conference began with remarks from Surabaya University Rector Benny Lianto and conference chairman Putu Doddy Sutrisna, Ph.D, followed by an explanation from 5 main speakers from Australia, Singapore, Thailand and Indonesia. There were parallel sessions to present scientific articles held in two days. At night there was dinner and entertainment with views of Kuta beach.
Industrial Engineering (IE) as one of the departments in the Faculty of Engineering actively supports this conference. Being involved in the steering committee, organizing committee and reviewer, the Industrial Engineering lecturer Prof. Joniarto Parung was also present as the keynote speaker for the topic of Using Blockchain to Support Sustainable Supply Chain Strategies with moderator Eric Wibisono, Ph.D. Some IE lecturers and alumni also presented scientific articles and moderated parallel sessions. This event also involved IE students to support before and during the conference. (ih)
